Newsletter | 🚧 No Foolin'—April's Got Game-Changing Updates!

A Note From Patrick Russo - April Newsletter for OnStation

As we wrap up another month at OnStation, I wanted to share some quick updates and thank you for being part of this growing community.

First—the Transtech integration is live! This is a big win for the field, making field-to-office coordination smoother and faster. We’re also working on more partnerships behind the scenes (can’t spill the beans yet, but they’re exciting) to support DOTs, contractors, and inspectors with even better workflows.

Another major launch: Active Worksite™. This product has been three years in the making and centers on what matters most—jobsite safety. It gives teams more visibility and awareness, helping prevent issues before they happen.

A huge shoutout to the OnStation team for pushing updates, visiting job sites across the country, and putting in serious miles (and serious effort). Without their hustle, none of this would be possible.

And with spring season kicking off in the North, we’re hitting the road too! Expect to see us out there with trainings, demos, pizza, and cold drinks—because learning should come with snacks, right?

Dad joke time: Why did the construction worker bring a ladder to the meeting? Because he was ready to take things to the next level. 🪜

Thanks for building with us. We’re proud to be part of your projects—and excited for what’s ahead. Stay safe out there!

Feature Upgrades & Top Performers Revealed — Did Your Favorites Make the List? 🏆

Over the past quarter, our product and engineering teams have been hard at work, rolling out a wide range of new features, enhancements, and tools designed to make OnStation even more powerful and user-friendly. From safety-focused innovations to workflow improvements, it’s been a busy few months!

We started with a long list—over 60 new updates released this quarter alone—but after much debate (and maybe a few friendly arguments), we’ve narrowed it down. Here are our OnStation team’s top-ranked updates and releases of the year so far.

Streamline Mode Activated 🔄

OnStation + TransTech: Real-Time Density Data, Zero Hassle

Contractors, Departments of Transportation (DOT), and inspection firms using TransTech Systems’ PQI380 Plus gauge with a TransTech Connect subscription can now streamline their workflow with OnStation. Density readings from the PQI380 Plus are automatically transmitted to OnStation, where they are timestamped, geotagged, and recorded as a "flag"—complete with station and offset details. With this integration, project managers gain instant access to real-time density data through the OnStation Portal, enabling informed decision-making and on-the-fly adjustments as paving operations progress.

In this video, Patrick Russo, CEO of OnStation, and David Apkarian, CEO of TransTech Systems Inc., discuss their recent integration aimed at transforming construction data management. They explore how this collaboration enables seamless transmission of non-nuclear density test gauge readings directly to the OnStation Portal via TransTech Connect, eliminating manual data entry and reducing errors.

OnStation + Trimble: A Powerful Upgrade in Accuracy

We’re excited to announce that OnStation now integrates with Trimble GNSS receivers—bringing even greater precision to your job site experience. For users in the heavy highway and civil engineering space, this integration means enhanced location accuracy directly within the OnStation app, powered by Trimble’s trusted hardware.

Whether you’re pinpointing a field observation, checking your live station, or documenting work in real-time, the improved GPS performance helps reduce guesswork and ensures your records are spot-on. It’s just one more way we’re making digital stationing smarter, faster, and more

What’s next?

We are working with AASHTOWare Project™ to help connect the DOTs, contractors, and CEI firms. We are planning to release this integration in Q3!
