Meet Ankit Pandey: OnStation Developer

Today I would like to welcome Ankit Pandey, an OnStation software engineer that’s been helping make some amazing progress within the app. We wanted to bring some attention to the work he’s been doing but also let him answer some questions to highlight his journey while working with us.

Why use the OnStation App?

OnStation is a civil productivity app that has a number of exciting features such as Stationing and Flag & Chat. These features help to bring better and faster communication while working on the construction site. It can be of great help to the people working in the Construction industry to locate and connect with their team to work more efficiently.

What was the development process like?

Over the last 6 months, we as a team have successfully completed and delivered a number of exciting features such as the user license, in-app trial, limit profile sharing. Working on these features was challenging while still maintaining the aspect of fun and it was a great learning experience in terms of technology.

What are you most proud of having developed?

The user license feature was one feature I can cherish and be proud of because it was one of the most important features for the company. One of the difficult parts of getting this feature done was connecting our website hosted on SquareSpace with Amazon Web Services using Vanilla JS, HTML/ CSS . I was glad to have worked on it but in terms of challenge and difficulty, I would say that goes to the limit user profile project.

What future OnStation developments are you most excited about?

I would say there is a lot to come for the OnStation app and I’m excited to work on some of the new and improved features that we plan to add in the future. We are planning to add offline functionalities and capabilities to the application which will let users continue to work even if they don’t have high speed data on work sites. We are planning to modify and enhance our chat feature with better messaging functionalities to keep teams talking about what’s important.
