Not a cost. An investment with a measurable return.

The question isn't what OnStation costs. It's what location uncertainty is already costing you — in wasted hours, restaking bills, disputed change orders, and lost margin every season. Calculate your return below, then choose your plan.

Common questions

Answers before you ask.

The questions we hear most from contractors and CEI firms before they start their access period.

Can I expense this to a project?

Yes. OnStation licenses are routinely expensed to project overhead — not your company operating budget. That means the cost comes out of job cost, not your bottom line, and gets recovered as part of the project.

How long does setup take?

About 30 minutes for most teams. Your project data loads in, users get access, and your crew is on station before the first truck rolls. No hardware to install.

What's the difference between Standard and Premium?

Standard is a fast online purchase with self-guided setup — great for teams ready to get started. Premium offers discounted pricing at scale, dedicated customer success, advanced onboarding, and integrations with HCSS, Trimble, TransTech, and FleetWatcher.

Can I add licenses mid-season?

Yes — licenses can be added at any time. Teams that start with broader access early typically see stronger adoption and more complete project data. You're not locked into your initial count.

Which license does my field crew need?

Most field crews need a Capture license — it covers live stationing, photo capture, flag drops, notes, and forms. The Locate license is for read-only access (viewing location and design layers). The Data license adds full portal access for managers and QC leads who need to query, export, and build reports.

What happens after my access period?

After your access period you choose the license tier and quantity that fits your team. Your project data, flags, and photos from your access period carry over — nothing is lost. Your customer success rep will walk you through the transition.

Does it work offline?

Yes. OnStation works offline on any phone or tablet. Location, stationing, and design layers are all available without a cell signal — critical for rural projects and areas with limited coverage. Data syncs automatically when connectivity is restored.

How do I get my project into OnStation?

Most projects are already in our system. If yours isn't, submit the project files and our team builds it — typically within 10 business days, at no extra charge. Premium customers get advanced project file support and faster turnaround.
